I love this pistol. I put 250 rounds thru it last fall on a desert trip. It is LOUD and the muzzle flash it tremendous! Virtually no recoil in either chambering. It ate 22 TCM factory ammo w/o a hiccup. I ran some mix and match 9mm w no problems either. It is just a fun to shoot gun.The 22TCM cartridge does an impressive job on watermelons as well as tannerite.

I have 3 of these and each are great shooters. Very accurate with minimal recoil. Easy to stay on target while shooting and easily 2" grouping at 25 yards. Suggest using double ear protecting as this is the loudest handgun I've fired to date.

Great pistol that fires a unique round. The .22 TCM leaves the five inch barrel at speeds of 2100 fps or better.
Has minimum recoil and great accuracy. Very loud report and considerable muzzle flash.
Reloading dies are available along with brass and hornet bullets.

I have the Armscor Rock Island 1911 22TCM/9mm Target version - the only difference being the adjustable rear sight. This pistol is a blast to shoot - literally. With the 22 TCM there is a huge blast but the recoil is less than a 9mm and quite manageable. The person next to you on the range is not going to be happy. The pistol is easy to shoot and very accurate with the 22 TCM rounds. Honestly, I have had so much fun shooting 22 TCM that I have yet to shoot the 9mm barrel. The slide is fit with no excess clearance, the trigger is smooth, and because of its weight, the pistol is very stable. When first received, I had problems with 22 TCM cases failing to extract from the chamber. Turned out the chamber had small recesses that were into the chamber wall. As a result, the case expanded into these recesses and would not extract. Rock Island was great on customer service. They paid for return shipping, replaced the barrel, and had it back to me with a very good turn around time. No more problems.
If you are into reloading thse 22 TCM and are using the Hornady die set, be sure the sizing die is set fully down to make sure the shoulder on the case is properly positioned. If the shoulder is not set back far enough, the round will not fully seat in the chamber and the pistol will not go into battery. I actually had to grind a few thousands off the bottom of the die to get the shoulder to the proper dimension so the cartridge would fully seat in the chamber. If you are not reloading, the Armscor factory ammo functions perfectly. I have shot close to 1000 rounds of factory ammo with no problems.
I rated the pistol 4 stars because of the chamber problems I experienced. If I had received the pistol originally as it is now, I would have rated it 5 stars. I love the pistol. It's a lot of fun!
