Christensen Arms Summit Carbon Rifle

The Christensen Arms Summit Carbon rifle is the ultimate hunting rifle. This workhorse is a precision instrument sure to be passed down and appreciated for generations to come. Each rifle is individually tested, allowing Christensen Arms to determine 1/2 MOA or better shot groups.

The Summit Carbon is a true “all-Christensen” rifle in that it uses a Christensen-made action, barrel and stock. Previously, Christensen made its rifles using Remington actions and Shilen barrels, but that changed in 2013. The Summit Carbonl comes standard with a carbon wrapped match grade barrel, Tier 2 Carbon fiber glass bedded Stock, Spiral fluted Nitride coated bolt, CA stock with recoil pad, drop-box magazine, and a timney trigger. The Summit Carbon is offered in multiple calibers. The rifle can be ordered with a stainless steel or titanium action. The titanium action will make the rifle about 1/2 pound lighter. All Summit rifles are thoroughly tested for accuracy and guaranteed to shoot 1/2 MOA or better.

The Christensen Action:

The Christensen Arms bolt action is precisely machined to deliver extreme accuracy and consistency. Its design is built around the two lug pattern, equipped with a drop magazine. The action can be ordered as a Titanium or stainless steel.

The nitride process creates surface hardening of around 70 HRC for extreme wear protection, extended life and corrosion resistance. The receiver is constructed of high strength 17-4 stainless steel making it 1.5 times stronger than most receivers and extraction is accomplished by the very reliable mini M16 style extractor. The custom designed bolt knobs are constructed of aerospace-grade aluminum for maximum grip and a custom look. Carbon Wrapped Barrels:

Designed using precision engineering adopted from the aerospace industry, Christensen Arms carbon-fiber barrels are crafted using a proprietary layered design that offers any marksman superior accuracy and performance. The barrel lining is made from match-grade 416R stainless steel and is measured to a tolerance of +/- .0001. When it comes to accuracy, Christensen Arms carbon-fiber barrels have performance you can trust.
Barrels are threaded conventionally into the actions with a recoil lug sandwiched between the two and are topped with full-diameter muzzle brakes. While a brake probably isn’t necessary on a rifle chambered for predator-type cartridges, it’s almost a necessity on a gun this light when chambered for larger calibers. “Most customers are surprised at the felt recoil, or lack of recoil.

Christensen Arms Tier 1 carbon fiber stocks are also formed in-house. Tier 1 stocks are are engineered and infused with aerospace DNA only found at Christensen Arms.  Each stock is hand-laid and built using our patented carbon fiber manufacturing processes. The Tier 1 stock is then glass bedded for superb accuracy.

About Christensen Arms:

Nestled in Gunnison, Utah, Christensen Arms is an American small business success story. Dr. Roland Christensen earned his doctorate of Science in Mechanical Engineering and went on to start a company that utilizes carbon-fiber material for the aerospace and medical industries.  An avid shooter from his early youth, Dr. Christensen saw a way to apply his career experience to his hobby and developed and marketed a carbon-fiber barrel that has significant advantages over solid steel barrels in weight and heat dissipation.  This technology was revolutionary in barrel production and saw widespread acceptance.  Not resting on previous success, the company eventually began building a full range of firearms, including bolt-action rifles for hunting, target shooting, and tactical applications, with hand-laid -up carbon-fiber stocks.  Most recently, Christensen Arms Began building AR-styled tactical rifles and custom, hand-crafted 1911 pistols.  These firearms are among the most novel, distinctive, and technologically advanced products on the market today.
