I have used FP ammo for years in numerous calibers and several bullets but always have the best luck with Sierra Gameking BTSP. My son harvested a 7 point bull at 390 yards - hit in the mid shoulder dropped like a rock. I use this round on large GA hogs that are HARD to drop. But this round flat does the job. In fact, last year I hit a 200 lb sow, at 137 yards, a little high breaking her spine and it hit a 230 lb sow in the shoulder that was next to her (I did not see) and it flat dropped her. Surprised as heck when I picked them up. Interestingly, the 120 lb class deer I hit with it are clean killed w/o excessive loss of meat. Got one at 457 yards through the neck and it dropped. I consistently get good groups via a 40 year old Rem 700 s/s barrel (one of the first).
