The subcompact Glock 29 Gen4 offers superior versatility with the high performance 10mm round and a 10-round magazine capacity. With reduced dimensions compared to the standard size Glock 20, the subcompact Glock 29 is also suitable for concealed carry. The Gen4 offers a more aggressive grip pattern to allow a more secure purchase on the pistol, even with gloved hands, and the modular backstrap design lets the user adapt the grip to hand size. This model features a dual-recoil spring assembly which noticeably reduces felt recoil while simultaneously increasing the life span of the assembly. The enlarged reversible magazine catch easily accommodates left- or right-handed operators. The Generation 4 frame retains the Glock accessory rail for accessory attachment.

This gun is amazing. The power of a 10mm in a tiny package. Honestly the recoil isn’t much worse than a g19.

This my first GLOCK and my first 10mm. I love the simplicity of the GLOCK and the availability of parts.
The model 29's subcompact size and the 10mm's stopping power make this my ultimate personal defense weapon, CC are open carry.

Love this gun! I'm not a Glock groupy but this thing shoots nice. I still think it's ugly but I can't deny the reliability and accuracy. The 10mm caliber isn't made by many companies but luckily, Glock does. Too bad the same isn't true about 10mm ammo !

First of all I give 5-stars for my experience buying from Hinterland Outfitters. Their price was the best, their instructions for purchase were accurate and simple to follow, their website is top notch, the weapon was shipped new, packaged properly and delivered correctly and on-time. They don't hammer me with lots of marketing emails and they followed up on the purchase. I would absolutely buy from them again assuming they remain competitive on price.
After research and demo shooting for a back-country defense weapon, especially considering the brown bear I narrowed down my choice between the G20 and G29. I know some people believe that you can't carry a big enough weapon for this purpose and I understand that thought, but my philosophy is to avoid discharging the weapon in the first place. I believe that smart behavior in the presence of a bear or other animal should get you (and the animal) out of most situations, bear spray should help with the remainder. And in those cases where I decide to fire a weapon as a last resort, I want something reliable I can get (and keep) on target fast. I never expect a gun to save me but I don't want to die regretting not having an option to use one if I feel the need. If I were simply walking in the woods short distances (e.g. 1-5mi) I would consider a large caliber revolver or the G20 in a longer barrel. But in my case I plan to move fast and long (50-100mi biking, or 10+ running) so power/weight is key. I settled on the G29 and am happy with the purchase. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think Glock should provide the $6-$9 grip extensions already attached to the clip to give you that last little grip comfort at your pinky. I find the G29 to be easy to shoot/clean, reliable and accurate enough for my intended use. The one thing I would mention is ammo is hard to find and expensive and probably always will be so be prepared for that when you buy.
