Hogue's AR-15 Free Float 12.5" Overmolded Handguard is built around a 6061 aircraft grade aluminum tube with an anodized matte black finish. A molded layer of non-slip elastomer is applied to the outside of a portion of the tube to provide you with a superior gripping surface. The included free float barrel nut requires the use of a strap wrench or a Hogue wrench in order to ensure that it is torqued to a value between 30-80 ft./lbs. This free float tube is designed to work in conjunction with direct gas impingement system rifles using a low profile gas block. This assembly will not work with gas piston systems. This model comes with multiple accessory attachment points located at the forward end of the forend. Also included are (2) 5-slot Picatinny rails" (1) 3-slot tall Picatinny rail" (1) 45 degree offset Picatinny rail" (1) barricade stope" (1) sling swivel stud" (1) QD sling swivel socket and mounting hardware.
