The velocity and muzzle energy are listed incorrectly on this page. Muzzle velocity is 2565 fps and energy is a little over 3000 ft lbs and has been proven accurate in the 24" barrel of the MXLR. I think it looses about 60 ft per sec in the 22" barrel.

This is the best price I have seen for 338 MX so far. Most are 26 to 35 bucks. I have the 338 MXLR with the 26" barrel. This is a very accurate round. Getting 1.5" groups at 100 yds with variable winds benched and a Leupold scope of course. The first scope I tried was the Nikon Prostaff... terrible groups...6" 100 yrds. Thought the rifle might be junk until I tried my sons Leupold. I'll never use another scope but a Leupold or a Redfield, both made in the USA by Leupold no matter what you hear. I haven't taken an animal with this round yet, but other reviews give good results. The Marlin rifles in this round handle excellent and most all reviews give excellent results in accuracy and effect. If you like levers, this round is a winner!!
