I've built several of these rifles, and they are well designed and an easy build for the first time builder. Good quality and they shoot great.

For what it is it's okay. An easy build for someone with just a few simple tools. Here are the good points..... everything was inletted on this kit so it just fell together (maybe too much inletting), Stock was roughed in well.
Modern lock (if thats what you're into). A very affordable way to introduce yourself to muzzleloading.
Now a few things to be aware of:
1) The stock around the lock area was soaked with oil, be prepared to bleach it out before applying a finish.
2) Lots of gaps around all the inletting.
3) A hideous amount of stampings on the barrel (warnings mfg etc) it takes a good 2 hours to pein and hone them out.
4) All the small steel parts have a black finish on the that must be removed before browning.
All in all its a pretty good kit for someone wanting a decent shooter. With no power tools it takes about 8 total man hours to complete.
