Great rifle - weather resistant and very accurate 100yds and under.Taken many deer and hogs - devastating round for quiet and accurate head and neck shots.Trigger is horribly stiff. I had some work done on the trigger but it's still really tight.I just got used to the stiff trigger and hold the gun still and pull pull pull really anchoring in the whole time. Magazines are a bit troublesome. If you try to put all 6 rounds in there, they pinch and ding up the bullets.I cut the barrel down to 19 inches which made the gun more accurate.I would not sell this baby but I am going to try the Savage in .22 hornet.

The Ruger 22 hornet rifle is a fine piece. I bought my son one almost twenty years ago . He really enjoyed it!
A few months later I had to buy one for myself. Between the two of us we put a big dent in the Ground squirrel population with our two hornets. They are fun to shoot and reasonably accurate.
My groups on paper were about 1/14 to 1 1/2 at 100 yards with a 40gr. v max bullet . We hit squirrels out to 180 yards with our Ruger 22 hornet rifles.
I did a dumb thing and sold mine, but now I will correct that mistake and get another Ruger 22 Hornet.
