The Hornady Bore Driver ELDX (Extremely Low Drag - Expanding) Muzzleloader Bullets are engineered to fit the bore of any .45 caliber muzzleloader rifle. These bullets have been engineered without a sabot to seat quickly and easily for repeatable performance. The Bore Driver ELDX bullet incorporates an InterLock ring that helps retain bullet weight upon target impact that when coupled with a strengthened copper-alloy jacket delivers maximum penetration and expansion for the ultimate big-game performance. The Bore Driver Bullets feature Hornady's patented Heat Shield tip technology, which is verified by Doppler radar, the tip is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to maintain the highest-in-class BC over its entire trajectory. The Heat Shield tip allows for optimal bullet expansion even at low velocities while enabling enhanced muzzleloader terminal performance. These bullets also come with four (4) clear speed loaders that when emptied can be used for storing your powder and bullets in the field. The gas seal is an advanced polymer base that features a post that fits into the bottom of the bullet. This internal post swells in diameter at ignition for better torque engagement from inside the bullet and the centering petals grip the bullet’s boat tail while the skirt engages the rifling to maximize energy transmission.
