The MZY includes a collapsible ramrod along with a dedicated carry case for organized storage in the field. Weatherby intentionally chose not to mount the ramrod on the stock or along the barrel. Many entry level muzzleloaders place the ramrod directly against the barrel which can create unwanted vibration and harmonic issues that affect accuracy. By keeping the ramrod separate and collapsible, the MZY avoids these problems and maintains the precision expected from the Model 307 platform.
